Unboxing

On the box, you get to see iScooter branding some e-scooter specs, and some caution. The scooter is secured with foam inside the box.

What’s in the Box

Here are the following stuff in the box

  • Scooter itself
  • Toolkit
  • Manuals
  • Charger

Assembly

To assemble the scooter follow these steps:

Unfold the scooter, a little lock there pushes that down, and then it will stand up, there is a red lever, and push and lock pin. Then unfold the adjust handlebar and the display as preferred.

Design

The iScooter comes with aggressive looks and features all-terrain tires, enabling it to rock the road with its off-roading performance. It features a color combination of black and red, giving it perfect off-roading vibes.

It has off-road pneumatic tires along with mechanical disc brakes and e-brakes which give proper off-roading experience. The tire size of the scooter is 10 inches suitable for aggressive riding.

The deck is quite wide. I comfortably fit my legs, placing my right leg forward and my left leg slightly back.

It has dual suspension, making the scooter comfortable off-road and on-road. The e-scooter weighs 51 lbs and is also foldable, making it easy to transport in a car.

Handlebar

The brake lever and throttle are on the right of the handlebar. The hand grip on the handle is extremely bad, and I can’t get a proper grip on it. The handle grip should be improved for off-road rides.

On the left side of the handlebar, there are buttons for modes, lights, horns, and turn signals. I tested the horn, and it is not very loud. When you squeeze the brake lever, a blue side light turns on, making the scooter brighter for nighttime rides.

The handlebar itself has a foldable function, which allows you to fold the handle on both sides and adjust the option to fit your height. The handlebar is made of sturdy material and has the company’s branding on it.

Lights

It offers an LED headlight at the front, a taillight at the rear, and turn signals. Additionally, the brake lever leverages a blue light. The LED headlights, taillight, and turn signals are not very bright and look dim, but the blue light under the deck makes it brighter at night.

Display

The iScooter iX3’s display is bigger than I have ever seen, showing speed, range, temperature, trips, and modes. It has three modes: eco, standard, and turbo.

App

If you want to control the through app, download the MiniRobot app, which is available at the Play Store and Apple App Store. you can change the modes, lock, and unlock, turn light, cruise control, and check the specs of the scooter through the app, making it more convenient to use.

Performance

Firstly, I fully charged the scooter which took almost 6-7 hours. I tested the scooter in eco-mode and reached 10 miles per hour, in that mode it has quick stopping power. The eco mode little bit slow so you might able to use it when you are about to run out of battery. Then I changed the mode to standard mode, which is a bit quicker than eco mode, in standard the e-scooter reaches 18 mph.

I took the scooter to an off-road test on grass and muddy areas, reaching speeds of up to 20 mph on grass and 18 mph on rough terrain. The scooter is capable of maintaining decent speed on both grass and dirt paths. It handles off-road trails well, with full suspension that provides a comfortable ride.

In turbo mode, the scooter went 22 mph on the bent road, and in straight roads, it went up 25 mph, quicker acceleration than the standard mode. The acceleration is felt slow, taking around 6 seconds to reach 25 mph.

Then, I took a scooter to test the uphill, almost 25 degrees. It easily went up but it struggles with steeper inclines, especially for heavier riders (the rider weighs 185 lbs).

In full-throttle turbo mode, you can expect around 12-15 miles range, and in eco mode, you can get 25 miles. The first and last battery bars last the longest, while the middle bars drain quicker.

It can overheat after about 30 minutes of full-throttle off-roading, requiring a 10-minute cooldown.

Overall, the iScooter iX3 proves its versatility on the road, off-road, grass, wooded paths, school grounds, and gravel roads. Though it struggles with steeper inclines. The scooter’s suspension takes handling logs, rocks, and bumps with ease. It is also slow in acceleration.

Specs

It is equipped with 800w motor power which delivers a top speed of 25 mph. It has a battery capacity of 48V 10Ah or 720Wh and takes 6-7 hours to fully charge, comes with a smart battery management system.

It weighs 52.2 lbs and has a loading capacity of 264 lbs. The scooter has 10 inches of off-road pneumatic tires along with dual suspension. It features a disc and electric brakes both front and rear.

The scooter offers an LED screen and bell or electric horn and it also has IPX4 water resistance.

Where to Buy

The iScooter iX3 is available on Amazon at $539.

Final Verdict

Overall, the iScooter iX3 stands out for its versatility, off-road potential, and limitations when handling steeper terrain or rough paths. I have tested it on school grounds and on the road to check suitable for GenZ or not. The scooter faces all challenges, making it an all-round scooter for all ages. After running 200 miles on a scooter, In my opinion, it is the best scooter under $600 value for money.

The scooter has some drawbacks with acceleration, struggles on steeper inclines, and has some build issues. If it meets your requirements, then go for it. I hope you find my review helpful as I’ve shared my opinions about the scooter. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
